Mónica, estudió Bellas Artes en la UCM (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 2013) cursando el último año en la Universidad de Lisboa, Ilustración Editorial en la ESDIP (Escuela Superior de Dibujo Profesional, 2018) e Ilustración de Libros Infantiles (ESDIP, 2022).
Su obra se caracteriza por la multidisciplinariedad. Está especializada en técnicas tradicionales, las cuales mezcla o combina dependiendo de lo buscado.
Durante los últimos años su trabajo se centró en el Libro de Artista adaptándose perfectamente a su modo de expresión y creatividad, ya que le permite combinar varias técnicas en una misma obra.
Actualmente está explorando la ilustración, concretamente la editorial, que sigue siendo cercana al libro, aunque algo más figurativo de lo que ha hecho anteriormente, compaginado con la labor docente.
Mónica, studied Fine Arts in UCM (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 2013) finishing her degree in Lisbon University (Portugal), studied Editorial Illustration in ESDIP (Escuela Superior de Dibujo Profesional, 2018) and Children Books Illustration (ESDIP, 2022).
Her work is characterized by multidisciplinarity. She uses various disciplines and combines them in her works. She specialized in traditional techniques; always exploring new interesting ways of mixing them.
Her work was focussed on Artist Books the past years; a discipline that fits perfectly with her expressive and creative way. It lets her combine various techniques in a single work.
Nowadays, she is exploring new communicative ways in illustration, specially books. Still connected to books field, but more figurative than her past works, combined with teaching.
